Adams, stock-dealer; business established in 1862; handles from $25,000 to $30,000 worth of stock per month. Mr. Adams was born in Lancaster, Coos Co., N. H., March 31, 1835; is the son of Harvey and Nancy Adams; he learned the blacksmith’s trade in his native State, and followed that business several years; came to Wisconsin in 1860, and located in Hartford, and opened a blacksmith’s shop; continued the business only one year, when he quit it to engage in the stock business; has followed this business successfully since that time. He was married in Vermont, in Guildhall, Essex Co., Sept. 20, 1857, to Miss Estelle L. Rodgers, daughter of Moses Rodgers; Mrs. Adams was born in Vermont.
