Joseph Morton

Joseph Morton (Ephraim, Ephraim, George). Born in Plymouth, Mass., Mar. 4, 1683; m. 1709, Mary Chittenden b. Jan, 1685, d. Oct 18, 1756. She is interred on Burial Hill, Plymouth, the inscription on her gravestone reading: "here lyes ye Body of Mrs. Mary Morton, wife of Mr. Joseph Morton, who Departed this Life Octr. ye 18th, 1756, in ye 72d year of Her Age." He "died in an old age," and is intered on Burial Hill, Plymouth, the inscription on his gravestone being: "Here lyes buried ye body of Mr. Joseph Morton, who Departed this life Febry. ye 24th 1745 in ye 71st Year of His Age."
